Bahia Stock Car GP
Launched in 2009, the most charming proof of the main category of Brazilian automobilism is a huge success of public and media. Broadcasted live by the TV channels Globo and Sportv, each Bahia Stock Car GP attracted 60 thousand spectators to the stands of Rua Ayrton Senna Circuit, at Centro Administrativo (Administrative Center), in Salvador.
The two proofs injected around R$ 40 million in Salvador’s economy and other R$ 38 million returned in spontaneous media. The race in Salvador attracts around 10 thousand tourists and generates nearly 3 thousand vacancies of temporary jobs.
In the first two editions of Bahia Stock Car GP, the pilot from Rio de Janeiro, Cacá Bueno was the winner.
