Portela’s parade that celebrated Bahia is highlighted in the national and international press

The magic of Bahia, shown by Portela on Sunday evening during more than 80 minutes, was seen by Brazil and the world through the live transmission made by TV and hundreds of national and international sites. Present in the parade of the samba school at Marquês de Sapucaí, the Secretary of Tourism, Domingos Leonelli, said that it was one of the biggest highlights that Bahia received in the press.

“We had more than 160 minutes on TV with Portela and Imperatriz Leopoldinense. This represents one of the best publicity ever. The schools sang our festivals and described with elegance and uniqueness the characters of our culture”, said the Secretary of Tourism.

On the internet, the parade of Portela reached a high number of comments in the microblog Twitter and in Facebook. Among the websites, the highlight is the article of the portal of the newspaper “O Globo” that opened the text like this: “Portela was received with cheers. Emotion took over the school at the end of the parade. Many people were crying, among them Lucinha Nobre, who remembered the hard preparation for carnival”.

The site of Veja magazine highlighted the beauty of the costumes and of some people dressed with the costume of the carnival association Filhos de Ghandy. The TV channel Globo International transmitted the parades of Portela and Imperatriz Leopoldinense for 115 countries.
