Arembepe | Camaçari
Arembepe is approximately 30km away from Salvador, northbound. It’s possible to get there by Linha Verde, road that connects Salvador to Aracaju. The most famous hippie village of Brazil is a district of Camaçari, city that is home to beautiful beaches and one of the biggest petrochemical poles of the country. Its beauty has enchanted celebrities like Janis Joplin, who visited the beach in the 60s.
Besides its crystal clear waters, the beach also shelters one of the most important initiatives of environmental protection in Brazil, Tamar Project, with closed areas for the protection of the marine turtles’ eggs.
